Caryll has a Diploma in ‘The elements of English Law’ and ‘Social Psychology and Structure’. She has been associated with CHEC for over 20 years. She is also, and has been for 25 years, the Chief Executive of the Foundation for Water Research (FWR) a substantial UK based charitable organisation devoted to water and associated environmental research. With FWR, Caryll recently co-produced Regulation for Water Quality, a landmark book on safeguarding the water environment. She is a Companion of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Water Conservators and the City of London and an Honorary Member of the Water Institute of Southern Africa. Caryll has travelled extensively round the world and when free-time permits she enjoys horse riding, target shooting and golf. In 2018, Caryll finished the second of two, four-year terms as CHEC’s Chairman of the Board.
