Eva Ekehorn

Honorary Patron

Eva Ekehorn has a degree in Mathematics and began her career programming steam turbines for tankers in Sweden. She later trained in Human Ecology at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden in the early 1980s, where she continued to teach and lecture. Eva also spent a 13 year period caring for her own and others’ children before returning to University. Eva has been involved with the Society for Human Ecology (SHE), where she served on the Board and was President in 2003-2004. At a SHE meeting in 1986, Eva met Zena Daysh who invited her to join CHEC. In 1987, Eva joined CHEC’s Board and has since served various roles, such as Honorary Treasurer, Trustee, and Honorary Secretary.

In 2021, Eva retired from being CHEC’s Secretary and was bestowed the position of Honorary Patron.
