"Our Culture is being Destroyed Every Year" - A Powerful Message from Samoa for COP26

Prior to COP26 we shared an important message and letter highlighting the views of young Pacific Islanders on climate change. Today, we are sharing another critical message. This time it's a message from Samoa.

The short, but powerful message, sees Nicc and Max discuss the real life impacts that climate change is having on their livelihoods in Samoa. Their testimony is spoken clearly over recorded footage of the destructive effects climate change has had on their lands.

They explain how their culture is being destroyed each and every year by the terrifying effects of climate change, something that they, along with other Pacific Islands, contribute least to.

We encourage everyone to watch the video below or on YouTube here: "Our Culture is being Destroyed Every Year" - A Powerful Message from Samoa for COP26

And, please support Samoa and other Pacific Islands in the climate fight as best you can.
