Saadia Chishti

Saadia is the Founder and President of CHEC-Pakistan. She has a PhD in Human Ecology from Cornell University. Saadia has been a member of the Commission for Higher Education in Pakistan, and a member of the board of governors for five universities in Pakistan. She was a co-founder of the First Women’s University in Pakistan. She was a Senior Fellow at Harvard University and the Centre for the Study of World Religions and also at Oxford University’s Centre for Cross Cultural Research on Women. Saadia has written many articles and research papers on education, environment, law and religion for international conferences and in her capacity as the only female member of the Council of Islamic Ideology in Pakistan. In 2014 Saadia was the recipient of the WAAAUB Distinguished Alumini Award and she is currently working on Base of Physics in al-Qur’aan, a series based on the BS and MS syllabuses.
