Nigerian Senator Sanusi Daggash was born in 1960 and obtained an MSc in architecture Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1984. In 1985, he became a Commonwealth Scholar, attending University College, London where he attained an M.Sc. in Development Economics in 1986. He also attended a graduate program in Harvard University in 1988. He gained a Master's degree in Public Administration in 1998.

He was a member of Finance Committee of the United Nigeria Congress Party in 1998; a member of the National House of Representatives 1999-2003 and Senator for Borno North from 2003. He was later appointed Minister for National Planning in 2007, and Minister of Works and Housing in April 2010. He left the government in 2012. He had become became a Director of Effectivo Capital, an investment and asset management company based in Abuja in 2008 and since then he has had appointments in a number of enterprises. His African political, planning and urban habitat experience is of great value to CHEC.
